I am a single mom and work full time. My boys are almost grown up and have become fine young men. I love my kids and am not looking forward to being an empty nester.
We have a Jack Russell named Chloe. She is a beautiful little soul and makes us laugh daily.
I have been sewing for about eight years now and have been a quilter for seven years. My quilting has evolved from soft, romantic fabrics to a more modern style of quilting. Modern quilting for me is way to express myself. Simple designs combined with open spaces of color (or lack of color) provide for a chance to step back and appreciate the pattern created in quilting. Many times the pattern is geometric, simple and repetitious.
I love chocolate but can't eat candy because I am hypoglycemic.
Scary movies give me nightmares.
It's hard for me to choose a favorite color, because I like them all!
I am a middle child. I have an older sister and younger brother.
In the late 70's I attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh for Graphic Design. I took additional coursework in drafting and construction.
For many years I worked as a visual merchandiser doing store displays and store windows. I spent several years designing retail stores for a store fixture company in Florida. For the past fifteen years my profession has been outside sales.
My favorite medium for drawing is Pen & Ink with colored pencil.
Life for me is a series of meaningful experiences. Good or bad there is always a lesson or step along the path that leads me to learn something new. It makes me grateful for each and everyday!
My blog is dedicated to paying it forward. In my lifetime there have been many times when people have done nice things for me. My giveaways once a month are a way to pay it forward and always be thankful.
Thanks for visiting my blog!! I look forward to getting to know you!
