Happy Sunday! The week sure flew by fast, didn't it? Happy National Ice Cream Day! What's your favorite flavor? Mine is Chocolate Marshmallow! Only a few Bee Blocks to share this weekend. The top two blocks went out in the mail this week. They are for Celine in the Bee White Black Bee in Flickr. Celine supplied the precut fabrics and we just had to sit and sew them together! My next bee block for Bee White Black is for my friend Pat! She sent out fabric to make a pinwheel block.I like the look of these blocks and the simplicity involved as they go together. The blocks remind me of gift wrapping a present for someone!
The next block is for a group on Flickr called Strip Quilters. This is the first of five blocks for Shanna. The five blocks will make a row when completed. I made wonky triangles and flipped one of the rows over to make butterflies. I call this block Metamorphosis because the wonky triangles look like butterflies! This block is a great way to use the scraps of HST's and odd shaped scraps of leftover triangles. The negative space around the wonky triangles will look awesome when quilted!
This is a very busy week with work. We are close to month end and the end of quarter. Hopefully my sales will meet the quarter goals! My son and I did laundry, cleaning, cooking and more cleaning this weekend. Even the little Chloe dog had a bath! I was able to meet a new Quilty friend today, Stephanie. She is a Modern Quilter and we live in the same small town! Hopefully we will get together soon and perhaps find some sewing time after the month ends! How was your week? Did you have a chance to sew? Well, I better run for now. Have a very happy Sunday and Happy Quilting!
