My Sewing Room...

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope that your weekend is wonderful! I had a six day work week, so I am moving a bit slow today.
The May, Birthday Club packages will go out in the mail the last day of the month. There were fourteen birthday recipients for this month! Happy Birthday to all who signed up for the club! On average I mail fifteen packages out each month to the ladies who signed up in December for the club. Each package includes some fabric, a notion item, a birthday card and sometimes something extra!
We were blessed to receive donations for this year's Birthday Club members from Quilt Taffy on Etsy, The Fat Quarter Shop, Aurifil Threads and Superior Threads. Thank you so much to the sponsors who have donated! It is about mid way through the year and I still continue to pull from fabric from my stash each month and purchase notions to send in the packages. Postage runs anywhere from $60 up to mail out to everyone. Hopefully, as you receive your packages you will enjoy them as a small remembrance from my blog as it continues to Pay it forward to the Quilting Community!
I finally cleaned up my Sewing Room enough to finally share pictures with you! The pictures on the Sewing Room Page have been from my old house in Florida! I will update that section after this post goes live. As you know I moved North to Pittsburgh with my son last March. We live with my sister and she was generous enough to give me an entire room to sew in! The room has been a mess for so long and finally it is organized enough to share! It probably will be be messy again in an instant when I get back to sewing..lol!!
The first picture is the left wall of my Sewing Room. This is where the table for my Babylock Quest Plus sits along with my Design Wall, my ironing board and some fabric storage. I love the window behind my sewing table! I can look out the window and see the backyard with all of the beautiful trees! My design wall has a quilt that is for my younger son on it!
This is the back wall of my Sewing Room. My sister had this wonderful storage unit in the room along with the table when we moved in! The wall unit is now filled with crafty things. The table is great for my cutting mat and rulers! My fabric is stored in the pretty covered boxes.
This is the right side of the room where my Bernina Activa sits on its table with a Sew Steady Table. I mainly use this machine for quilting my projects. Sometimes I use it for curved piecing, but mainly for quilting. The bulletin board has mini quilts that I received in prior swaps on flickr. The items on the board get changed every now and then for inspiration! The laundry basket has freezer bags filled with scraps that are sorted by color. That basket is in constant use for Bee Blocks. Additional fabric is stored in the pretty boxes under the sewing table.
This is the front of my Sewing Room. This part of the room is mainly storage for fabric and UFO's. The colored plastic boxes store quilt blocks that are completed, but have not yet been assembled into quilts. (I think there are 13 quilts waiting to be put together..yikes!) The white cabinet has fabric sorted by color for various projects. Yummy eye candy to look at! There is additional fabric storage against the back wall and in the covered boxes!
This is my favorite room in the house. It is my haven to create and calm my nerves after a week of driving for work. Sometimes I wish that I could spend more time in my sewing room. But with working two jobs I treasure whatever time I have in it. Today I am going to sew a bit and finish a few more bee blocks. Next weekend is Memorial Day Weekend and I will spend most of the weekend getting caught up on my projects in there! Yay!! Three solid days mixed with housework and sewing!
Well I better go for now. There are some errands to run and hopefully some time to sew. If you have received a Birthday Club package from my blog this year, please leave a comment with some feedback as I begin to plan for next year's club. Have a Happy Sunday and Happy Quilting!

Leona the birthday club is a wonderful idea. I was so excited when I received my gift back in February. I had forgotten that I signed up. I did send you a thank-you e-mail. I hope you got it. I wonder if you should turn this into some kind of a swap club though so it doesn't cost you so much money. Your sewing room is lovely.

I wish I had a sewing room. Life would be sew much easier if I didn't have to move all my stuff every time people come to visit (like this next weekend). Thanks for the BDay club.

Goodness, your sewing room is fabulous. Yes, I received a birthday package in March. I really hope I sent you a thank you. I had actually forgotten that I had signed up, so it was quite a special surprise. If you did not receive a thank you email from me, then consider this a very grateful thank you. You are a sweet heart.
